Baaba Pa-Ur Returns to Soul Sweat New York in May

Baaba Pa-Ur Returns to Soul Sweat New York for one month only on Sunday May 25, 2014. Baaba Pa-Ur went on ‘retirement’ in September 2013 to a small city just outside of Atlanta. But he is back in New York for our May Sweat.  Please join us and get the benefit of Baaba Pa-Ur’s wisdom, guidance and experience.

‘DanceAfrica’ Soul Sweat

DanceAfrica, considered the unofficial kickoff of New York’s African-centered festival season,  is an 11-day celebration of African culture that includes dance, music, film and educational classes culminating on Memorial Day weekend with the DanceAfrica performances featuring dance ensembles from around the world and an outdoor bazaar featuring merchants with products and food from around the world.

After Soul Sweat New York concludes on Sunday May 25th, feel free to join us as we head on over to take in the sights, sounds and tastes at the Dance Africa bazaar.

All you need to bring is:

  • Swim suit
  • (females) Lappa, sarong or some type of wrap if you wish
  • Flip flops are provided or you can bring your own
  • Your personal toiletries

  • Towels are free

To get the most out of the Sweat, it’s good to eliminate or reduce your intake of the following foods at least 3 days before the sweat:

  • Meat
  • Starchy foods (bread, cheese, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc.)

This will allow you to withstand more heat and detoxify on a deeper level
